Bonjour,
As I told you last week, I started volume 3. We just finished the photo shoots for the food. I think you will like the new book. I hope it will out for the holidays. Another great news, volume I and II are at the Peppercorn store in Boulder. The holidays are coming, our kids and grand-daughters will be with us to celebrate Thanksgiving. We look forward to this family reunion. I pray that everyone in the Northeast is safe. What a disaster that storm Sandy was. There is no safe heaven anymore. We just have to be ready and well prepared for anything. How about a hot buttered rum drink? That should put us in a good mood, and make us warm inside. A little rum drink never hut anyone! A votre sante! To your health!
Rhum Epice:
2 ounces light rum
Zest of 1 small lemon
Juice of 1 small lemon
1 cinnamon stick
1 1/2 teaspoon light brown sugar
1 1/2 Tablespoons sweet butter
Orange peel
In a medium saucepan, mix rum, lemon juice, lemon zest, and cinnamon stick, pour 1 cup of boiling water in saucepan, simmer at low heat for 3 minutes. Stir in the sugar, mix well. In a tall glass, place a spoon (so the glass won't brake), and pour rum mixture in glass, and the butter, stir until melted. Garnish with an orange peel. Serve immediately.
Serves: 1
A bientot! See you next Thursday!
