Bonjour,
We are under 8 inches of snow, and a cold wave. Thank God it is almost Spring. I think, I am getting to old for the cold weather. Every joint hurts. It is time to move back to Honolulu. I had to be creative with serving my home-made soups. So, I created this sandwish, it is very easy and super tasty. The kids will love it. I love to serve it hot, and any soups will be fine. Have the kids make their own. It will taste better. Have fun.
Sandwish au Jambon et Fromage:
8 hamburger buns or Kaiser rolls
6 Tablespoons butter, softened
2 teaspoons horseradish, to taste
2 teaspoons Dijon mustard or any mustards
1 small red onion, slightly sliced , or any onions
1 Tablespoon poppy seeds, optional
1 package 8-oz ham slices
1 package 8-oz Swiss cheese or Gruyere
Slice buns in half. Combine butter, horseradish, mustard, poppy seeds (if using) mix well. Cover bottom halves of buns with half of butter mixture. Top with 1 slice of ham and 1 slice of cheese. Cover top halves of buns with remaining butter spread. Put sandwish together, wrap each in foil. Place on baking sheet. Bake at 375 degree F. for 20 minutes or until cheese is melted and sandwishes are cooked through.
Serves: 8
A bientot! See you next Thursday!
