Well, here we go again. May 1st, with 10" of snow, and me with another sinus infection. Enough!. This can be so depressing. We all know what is going go happen, no Spring and it will go directly into Summer with 100 degree weather. That is the problem with Colorado, we do not have the four seasons like on the East or West coasts. The beautiful colors, the cool breezes. We go from cold to heat! Thank goodness, I have Volume 3 to keep me sane. The new cookbook should be out very shortly. I think we all deserve a drink! Let's try this one, after a few of these, you can start dancing the French CanCan. A votre Sante!
Moulin Rouge:
1-1/2 oz. gin
3/4 oz. sweet vermouth
Dash Angostura bitters
Lemon twist
Fresh strawberry for garnish
Pour the ingredients in a shaker. Stir in the ice until the shaker is frosted and strain into a chilled Martini glass. Place the lemon twist insude the drink and garnish with strawberry.
Serves: 1
